What was started by Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970, has grown into a worldwide celebration of our planet’s natural beauty.
With springtime in full effect, we at the Ferry company wanted to take a moment to highlight one of Block Island’s oldest and most beloved traditions—bird watching! Since the late 19th century, bird watching or birding, has been a time-honored activity all over the globe.
