The Block Island Ferry’s main ferry terminal, which services our year-round Traditional and seasonal Hi-Speed Ferry, is located out of the Narragansett, RI location—commonly referred to as Pt. Judith. Passengers looking to transport vehicles or ship over freight may do so from this location.

If you are flying into the T.F. Green Airport or taking a train into Kingston, RI, using a car service or taxi would be the most efficient method of transportation.
T.F. Green Airport (PVD), approximate 35 minute drive to ferry terminal.
Amtrak Train Station in Kingston, RI (KIN), approximately 20 minute drive to ferry terminal.
All of the parking for the Pt. Judith ferries are conveniently located right on the same road as the ferry, directly across the street. All lots are independently owned, and pricing ranges from $5-$15/day, depending on the time of year. All parking lots are within walking distance of the ferry terminal.
Located in the charming fishing town of Galilee, the Block Island Ferry terminal is surrounded by local fishermen, seafood restaurants, and two beaches, providing it with the beach town atmosphere Narragansett is known for. For travelers wishing to spend the night in Narragansett prior to their Block Island vacation, please visit the Chamber of Commerce website for listings of local hotels, inns, B&Bs, and restaurants in the area.

With the expansion of our ferry service to now include the Newport, RI and Fall River, MA locations, there are more opportunities for vacationers to come experience Block Island, whether as a daytrip or as a multi-day vacation. Located right in downtown Old Harbor, Block Island, most of the island’s hotels, beaches, shops, and restaurants are easily accessible by foot.
The physical address of the Block Island Ferry Terminal is 1 Water Street, Block Island 02807.
Travelers will find taxis lined up right outside of the ferry terminal for those who need them. Vacationers will also find bicycle, moped, and even vehicle rentals available right in downtown Old Harbor.
Directly across the parking lot from the Block Island Ferry Ticket Office, travelers may stop in and visit the Block Island Visitor’s Center. If you have not already had the opportunity to pick up your Ferry Schedule and Block Island Maps and Guides aboard the ferries, you may do so at this time. Bathroom Facilities and Lockers are also available at this location.
There are a variety of things to do on Block Island whether you plan to visit for a day or stay overnight. You can find an abundance of places to visit on the island including beaches, hiking trails, nature walks, lighthouses, live music events, the island’s exotic animal farm, and the numerous souvenir shops in town. Spending a few days in downtown Newport, RI? Make your vacation complete with a daytrip into the charming, island town of Old Harbor, Block Island! Located in Perrotti Park, right off of America’s Cup Avenue, the ferry terminal is easily accessible from any point in downtown Newport.
If you are flying into the T.F. Green Airport or taking a train into Providence, RI, using a car service or taxi would be the most efficient method of transportation.
T.F. Green Airport (PVD) is an approximate 33-minute drive to the ferry terminal.
The closest Amtrak Station is West Kingston, where you can utilize a car or van service to take you into Newport.

A public parking garage is located a few blocks from Perrotti Park, adjacent to the Newport Visitor’s Center and Marriott Hotel. The cost is $3.00/car per hour, up to $24.50 for the day.
Stop by the Newport Visitor’s Center for more Newport information. The Block Island Ferry Terminal in Perotti Park is located inside the Harbor Master’s Office Building near the dock. Stop in to purchase your ferry tickets if you have not already done so, as well as pick up a Block Island Map, Guide, or Schedule prior to your trip.
