From June through September, our fans from Instagram and Facebook get a chance to share their favorite photos of the ferry and Block Island for an opportunity to win tickets for the traditional ferry!

How to Enter:

FACEBOOK: If entering the photo contest on Facebook, you must enter through our Photo Friday Facebook contest page whose link is shared each week in Facebook posts. All entries must be uploaded on this page beginning the Saturday prior to #BIFphotoFriday at 6am, and ending at noon on the day of #BIFphotoFriday EST.

INSTAGRAM: If entering the photo contest on Instagram, upload your photo to your wall as usual and be sure to use the hashtag #BIFphotoFriday to be eligible. All entries must be uploaded beginning the Saturday prior to #BIFphotoFriday at 6am, and ending at noon on the day of #BIFphotoFriday EST.

1 winner will be selected from both Facebook and Instagram each week to win 2 roundtrip traditional ferry tickets.

Submissions must be made beginning the Saturday prior to #BIFphotoFriday at 6am, and ending at noon on the day of #BIFphotoFriday EST. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.

Winning tickets to the Pt. Judith Traditional Ferry (which runs year-round departing from Pt. Judith), must be redeemed by December 31, 2025. Tickets are non-transferable. Winners may call the Ticket Office to confirm reservations at (866) 783-7996.

Winners will be notified via email (Facebook) or DM (Instagram) and will be asked to provide their mailing address and phone number. Block Island Ferry will mail the winning tickets to the address provided. Or, the contest winner may pick up their tickets at the Block Island Ferry’s office in Narragansett, RI. Please note that a valid photo ID is required when picking up the winning tickets.

Contestants are encouraged to submit photos each week. However, if you win, you are then ineligible to win any future photo Friday contests on the same platform during the 2025 season (only 1 winner per platform per household).
